A rise from rural roots to the national stage.
Lilitha Ntsundwani was born on 17 May 2000 and raised in Tsholomnqa, Twecu Village, KuGompo City. He grew up under the care of his grandparents, who equipped him with indigenous knowledge, spirituality, resilience and a deep sense of identity.
His journey reflects a compelling rise from humble rural beginnings to becoming a distinctive and nationally recognised figure. He matriculated in 2016 from Nomaka Mbeki Technical Senior Secondary School as a top achiever. He later pursued a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and expanded his academic interests through Media Studies at the University of Cape Town.
Since 2023, he has served as the youngest television news producer at the South African Broadcasting Corporation, demonstrating exceptional innovation, discipline and work ethic in the media space.
Legacy
As a gifted storyteller, voice-over artist, eulogist, poet and public speaker, Lilitha uses his authentic African voice to inspire, heal, challenge and connect with diverse audiences. His influence extends across media, social platforms, stages, communities and institutions.
He is a self-published author of the bilingual poetry collection Ukubetha Kwentliziyo — The Heartbeat, written in IsiXhosa and English. His work continues to inspire audiences from households to institutions, carrying a message of language, heritage, faith and transformation.
Lilitha is also a model and brand ambassador for timeless fashion styling and elegant traditional regalia, using his platform to challenge societal norms and redefine representation.
His work has earned him awards in poetry, language preservation and youth empowerment. Guided by his deep faith in God and the meaning of his name, “Lilitha,” he carries a commitment to spreading light and positively impacting nations.
